Why us?  Choosing the right school for you and your child is important!

Reason #1-Our instructors are internationally certified and highly qualified.
Grand Master Lee is 9th degree black belt which is the highest rank in Taekwondo.  He is also the highest ranked instructor still teaching in the U.S.A.  He competed many competitions and won many time.  He was the U.S.A. national coach at the World Forms Championship in Ankara, Turkey in 2008. He coached 5 national teams and 4 military academies. He was a professor at Unites States Sports Academy.  He has been teaching Taekwondo over 40 years and still teaching most of his classes at Olney school.

Master Joon is 7th degree black belt and head instructor for Gaithersburg school.  He holds B.S. degree in Physical Education and M.S. degree in Curriculum and Instructions and has been teaching for Montgomery County Public School since 1996.  He has been teaching Taekwondo at Gaithersburg Studio since 1994.

All our instructors are Master Instructors which means they are 4th degree black belt or higher and certified internationally.  To receive 4th degree black belt, minimum training time is 10 years.  First, second and third degree black belts are usually assistant instructors and only allowed to teach under the supervision of Master Instructors.

Choosing the right instructors will be the most important factor in deciding which school to attend.  These days many schools are run with hired instructors who are not trained and not certified to teach.   Please visit schools and observe classes and meet the instructors when fiding a school to train!  Also find out if the Master instructor actually teaches the classes.

Reason #2- Our class sizes are small.  Our focus is not having hundreds of students but focusing on each and every student at our school so our classes are kept small.  Our beginner's classes are often less than 8 students and all other classes about 11-13.   This is an important factor when choosing a school.  When there are too many students in a classs, students do not receive enough attention and help when needed.  Also it becomes unsafe when the room gets crowded.

Reason #3- Our tuition is reasonable.  We do not have a fancy office, administrate staff and sales person.  We try very hard to eliminate unnecessary expenses to pass the savings to our students and parents.  You will find our tuition lower than most other schools in the area.  Some schools and recreation department programs offer lower tuition but remember that you get what you pay for as those programs are often very crowded and classes are held in a place without proper mats and equipments.

Reason #4 -Long History. Our school was first opened in 1973 in Korea and our U.S. schools are opened in 1989.  We have long history and experiences of teaching Taekwondo.
